An interactive experiental design project meant to teach viewers the basics of type design. Informational boards were designed and constructed to sit on a railing. Viewers were encouraged to interact by comparing differences in the type family with transparent sliders. They were then encouraged to try their hand at designing their own typeface, comparing it with designs from other people. Our team wanted to shed light on a lesser known subject for most people, and we wanted to encourage participation in the exhibit. We wanted people to take away a tactile memory or experience, hopefully to better reinforce the information they learned.
